Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear?
When booking a class, please check the class description for any specific wardrobe requirements.
We recommend form-fitting athletic clothing that allows full range of motion and keeps you safe on the apparatus.
Please avoid:
Zippers, snaps, buckles, or metal of any kind
Loose clothing that can snag
Jewelry (must be removed before class)
Lotion or body oils before training (they make apparatus slippery)
Bring:
A water bottle
Grip aids only if approved by your instructor
Hygiene:
For the comfort and safety of everyone, please arrive clean, wear deodorant, and maintain good personal hygiene. Circus often involves shared equipment and close contact.
Do I need experience?
No!
BEAST Studios welcomes total beginners, returning students, and working performers alike.
We offer:
Introductory-friendly classes
Mixed-level technique classes
Intermediate/advanced progressions
Multi-week series for structured training
Your coach will help guide you into the appropriate level.
Are there age limits?
Adult classes are 18+
Teens may be accepted case-by-case based on maturity and skill
Youth classes may be added in the future
What should I expect in my first class?
You’ll begin with a warm-up designed for safety, joint prep, and body awareness.
You’ll then learn fundamental grips, shapes, and pathways or continue progressing through your level-appropriate curriculum.
Expect:
Supportive coaching
Safe spotting and progressions
A focus on technique over “big tricks”
A fun, empowering training environment
Can I drop in, or do I need to book ahead?
All classes must be booked online in advance.
We do not allow walk-ins due to safety, equipment limits, and class capacity.
You must have an active class credit, class pack, or membership to reserve a spot.
How do class packs work?
Class packs offer discounted pricing for students who want consistency.
4-Class Pack: use within 30 days
8-Class Pack: use within 45 days
10-Class Pack: use within 60 days
Unused classes expire after the use window.
Class packs cannot be shared, extended, or transferred.
What is your cancellation policy?
Circus training requires specialized equipment and small class sizes, so we enforce a clear cancellation window:
Cancel 24+ hours before class: credit is returned to your account
Cancel within 24 hours: class is forfeited
No-shows: class is forfeited
This protects your safety, our instructors’ prep, and fairness to waitlisted students.
What if I’m late?
Circus training requires a full warm-up for safety.
Students arriving more than 15 minutes late will not be permitted to join class
Late arrivals forfeit the class credit
This policy is non-negotiable for your safety and the safety of others.
What if I’m sick?
If you're feeling unwell, please do not come to the studio.
We train in close physical proximity and use shared equipment; illness spreads quickly in circus spaces.
Please cancel your class according to the existing cancellation policy.
If you test positive for COVID or have a communicable illness, email us so we can support appropriate rescheduling where possible.
Do you offer refunds?
We do not offer refunds for:
Drop-in classes
Class packs
Monthly memberships
Late cancels or no-shows
Training Series:
All series purchases are final once the program begins.
Refunds may be considered only if requested before the start date of a series or membership cycle.
Can I cancel my auto-renew membership?
Yes. You may cancel at any time, but:
Cancellations must be submitted before the next billing date to avoid being charged for the following month.
We do not offer pro-rated refunds or credits for unused classes after a charge has processed.
What is the Illness Policy?
For safety and hygiene:
Do not attend class if you have fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or active respiratory symptoms
No training with open wounds or contagious skin conditions
Always notify your instructor if you're recovering from an injury
What is the Liability & Waiver Policy?
All students must sign a liability waiver before participating in any class, open gym, or training series.
The waiver covers:
Assumption of physical risk
Agreement to follow all safety protocols
Equipment usage policies
Media release (optional, depending on your preference)
No exceptions.
This is required by our insurance and ensures everyone trains with clarity and transparency.
